Welcome to ultimate under the midnight sun.

Anchorage Ultimate Frisbee Club has been hosting a summer league, local tournaments and clinics since 1995. Check out what we have in store for this year!

Summer league

Session II (6 weeks): Mondays 6pm July 10 - Aug 14 (REGISTER HERE) $55 ($45 if you plated session I)

New this year we will be doing 2 sessions of summer league. We are hoping this will help with attendance and team making and maximize learning, quality ultimate and meeting new people.

Session II - Time to get more serious and play some ultimate. Teams will be made by captains, possibly a partial draft. Newer players who have either played Session I or have some pick-up experience are definitely encouraged to play this session as well. Scores will be kept, teams ranked with play-offs at the end. Teams will get a stipend to come up with jerseys/costumes. Also, if your summer plans have evolved and you won’t be around Monday nights, you will have until July 5 to let us know/cancel your registration. Again, we hope this flexibility will help with attendance.

During registration you can order a reversible tank as an add on option (specify size and choose between 3 color options).

Tournaments

Anchorage Ultimate hosts two main tournaments each year: The Great Alaska Jamboree at the end of June (24-25) and the Daze of Disc in August (5 &6? possibly 1 day depending on registration and weather). Don't miss the annual Fairbanks Hat Tournament the first weekend in June and other tournaments in Anchorage and around Alaska. There will be a one day goalty hat tournament on July 15 (registration details will be shared in groupme and FB).

Pick-Up Games

Games are usually Sundays at 4pm on the Park Strip (near 10th & G). Follow GroupMe or Facebook for changes and/or other casual ultimate games, goaltie and/or spikeball called throughout the summer too.

The best way to find out about pick-up games is via our Facebook group: Anchorage Ultimate Players Group or by joining our GroupMe: Anchorage Ultimate Pickup Games.  Pick-up is a great way to meet people and get more disc time! Our pick-up games are open to anyone. Please bring cleats, a light & dark shirt, and water.

Women’s pick-up

The women’s ultimate scene is steadily growing in Anchorage! Stay up to date about pick-up games, clinics, and other happenings by joining our Facebook group: Anchorage Women’s Ultimate or GroupMe: Anchorage Women’s Ultimate Frisbee. Like last summer, 2023 Women’s will probably be a mix of Wednesday and Thursday evenings depending on numbers.

Youth Ultimate

This year we will continue with a youth game/scrimmage Mondays 5-6pm on the Park Strip (before adult summer league). Kids ages 8-15 are encouraged to show up with a parent or guardian starting Monday, June 5.

We are also planning a one day Youth Jamboree on August 20th (the Sunday after school starts).
